The ants go marching...and BITING!

Seven or so ant bites (just on the hand) later, this is what Cooper looked like. I guess we learned the hard way that he is allergic to them! Ugh!

He never cried or showed any discomfort...thank goodness! We called Jason's brother Jamie (who is a Pharmacist) and also the our Pediatricians answering service (it was Good Friday) and they gave us instructions on how much Benadryl to give him. The answering service instructed us to wait 30+ minutes to see if there was improvement..if not we were going to have to make a visit to the ER. Within an hour he was still splotchy but so much better! Praise the Lord!

**UPDATE** Per Doctors orders, we now have EpiPens and keep Benadryl in the diaper bag, at home, at Grans, etc, etc. I'm pretty sure Greyson has the same allergy to insect bites. His mosquito bites make big whelps. But I'd rather not find out the hard way!

Powell Easter Egg Hunt 2011

We went to the annual Easter Egg hunt at the home of Mike & Dianne Powell. They graciously open their home and their hearts and invite their church family and friends for a hunt and fellowship. As a child, I attended the same hunt but it was hosted by Mrs. Raybon...Mrs. Powell's Sister who is no longer with us. I will always cherish the memories made all those years. I hope to continue this with my boys. Thank you so much Mr. & Mrs. Powell!!

One Year Pics

The photo shoot didn't really go as planned...they were not all that excited about it. So we got some cute action shots but nothing like the pics we got for Peyton's first birthday. Its just harder getting THREE kiddos to hold still long enough. But here are some of my favorites...

One Year Dr. Appointment

The boys had their one year appointment with Dr. Dentler this morning. He was quite amazed at how good natured they are. They pretty much sat there like this the whole time. (until shots.) He said this was very uncommon for their age and that they are multiples. He was also very pleased with their health and said they are right where they should be as far as cognitive development. They might be a little behind with walking but there will only be concern if they aren't walking by 15 or so months (which is in the normal realm.) Sometimes I think I let myself worry too much because I compare them to Peyton who was running by his first birthday.

He gave the "ok" to start whole cows milk and to start getting off the bottle. I plan to do it slowly. This week we lose the morning bottle but are keeping the nap time and nighttime bottle for a couple of weeks. Next to go will be the nap time. They are also cleared for all foods, ex. peanut butter. The thing we have to really keep our eye on is the size of foods as far as choking hazards.

Here are their ONE YEAR stats...

Cooper West

Weight: 22lbs

Height: 29inches

Greyson Reid

Weight: 22.13lbs

Height: 29.5inches

Bode Frank

Weight: 21.06lbs

Height: 29inches
