Loving this Fall weather!

Way too nice to stay inside! The boys love being outside...guess it runs in their blood. (Their Paw Paw would rather be outside in his yard than anywhere else!)

Happy Birthday Maw!

Maws 92nd birthday was on Wed, Sept. 22nd but we went out to eat with the family on Saturday to celebrate. We had good food, yummy cake and a great time visiting with each other. I snapped this pic when we got home and didn't realize until later how good it was of all of them. (Even Peyton and his silly smile!.) I will treasure this pic forever! We are so lucky to have Maw in our life!

Twenty Five Weeks Old & First Cowboy Football Game

Ready for some football!

Cooper, Bode & Greyson

You don't wanna mess with these future Cowboys! They look pretty mean huh? lol

*The boys did awesome at the game. I was fully prepared for some dramatic scene and be forced to leave at half time if not before. (Half-time was the goal.) But we made it the whole game with only a fuss here and there. Cooper got especially upset when the men next to us yelled for the first time. Other than that, they did great and were quite popular to hold and look at. I hope all games are like that as I am looking forward to the next home game.

Growing so fast!

I sterilized the boys "binks" today and stored the ones that they have outgrown. I went to throw them in the bag and found the bink that they were given during their first week of life. The tip is the size of a Q-tip, CRAZY! It looks so strange compared to the one they use now.

It got me thinking about all the things the boys did/wore when we brought them home. Like preemie clothes...now they wear 3-6 months/6 months. And I can't imagine those preemie diapers anymore. They are now in size 2's. It's also hard to think back to when they could just take a few cc's of breastmilk or later, a couple of ounces of formula at a time. Now they have 4-5 SIX ounce bottles plus two cereal meals a day.

I guess the weirdest thing was how small they were. These little miracles were only 4+/- pounds. Look at how small Greyson's head is...it fit in the palm of a hand! Now these sweet things are all over 15 pounds.

I guess the only word to describe it all is AMAZING! God is so good!

Formula Change

So after some research and recommendations, we decided to change the boys to a more "budget friendly" formula. This is the "Sams" Members Mark brand so it comes in an economy size. So doing the math, I can get this for .32 cents a bottle as compared to the Similac for .75 cents a bottle. Fortunately we are still using our gift cards but I thought it would be smart to stretch them out as much as I can.

Looks like this would last forever huh? No, try 15 +/- days. Seriously! At least I will be traveling to Houston once a month for meetings so I can drop in and pick up a months supply.

I guess I better get used to this....

With much hesitation from this overprotective, and very attached Mom, I finally gave the "ok" for Peyton to go with Daddy to "Deer Camp." I cried like a baby! Dumb, I know, but I think this is the farthest I have been away from him overnight. He had a blast and stayed dirty the whole time! He even got to shoot his bb gun. (An item I still don't approve of, but anyway.) Jason warned me in advance that "Campaw's" dog bit Peyton. All he was trying to do was "hug" him. lol He has a nice little cut on hit forehead that will probably end up being a scar, but I'm sure it wont be the last time or the last scar. He now thinks band-aids are cool and needed to "cure" any small "bo bo."

Look at those dimples!

We love to watch them interact with each other. They smile, coo and "talk." They especially like it when Peyton joins in. They think he is sooo cool!

Triplets Stats...

The boys had a check up with Dr. Ortiz (the Neonatologist) today. She said they are doing AWESOME and are right on tract. Here are their stats as of 9/9/10:

Cooper
Height: 24 3/4 inches long
Weight: 15lbs 9oz

Greyson
Height: 25 inches long
Weight: 15lbs 9oz

Bode Height: 25 1/4 inches long
Weight: 14lbs 13oz

We go back to their regular Pediatrician, Dr. Denter, on the 12th of October. I'm curious to see how much they grow in a month.

"Horders?"

No, this is NOT a pic advertising the newest "Horders" episode. Let me explain...

I guess I should start with the very sad, but true fact that I wanted a girl so BAD when I was pg with Peyton. Upon finding out that he was a boy, I was very disappointed that I couldn't go out and buy all those cute little girl outfits with all the adorable matching accessories. So, in turn, I made up for that by buying whatever my little heart desired to dress Peyton in. I'm sure there were things that he only wore 0nce, maybe twice before he grew out of it. I never really knew how much he had because I just stored all the clothes that he grew out of in those large bags that you suck the air out of and I never looked back.

When my cousin Jenny found out she was having a boy, I told her she could use all of Peyton's clothes and could just send them back when Jack outgrew them. I'm not sure she or I realized how much I had until I pulled out the 7, yes SEVEN, bags that I had stored away. So, upon finding out that we were having all boys, she started sending clothes (both Peyton's and stuff that she bought for Jack) back as Jack grew out. A few months before the triplets arrived, I looked through the newborn box and pulled out what I thought we would need in the first few months.

Today, Mom and I pulled out ALL the boxes of clothes and arranged them all over the living room in stacks by size (and on any flat surface.) I actually think I had not even opened all the boxes at this point. EEK! They range from 3 months to 24 months. I have discovered that other than for special holiday outfits, I don't have to buy anything for the next year and a half! Now I don't feel so bad and embarrassed for all the clothes I bought for ONE child.

I have to add...When we found out that we were having all boys, people actually said "I'm sorry." Although I still dream of having a little girl to dress up and to bond with later in life, I ADORE my precious, well dressed little men. I would not have it any other way!
