Three Year Old "Stats"

Peyton had his three year old check up with Dr. Dentler today. He said he is doing GREAT! He is doing everything a three years old should be doing, then some. Here are his stats:

Weight: 43lbs. (99th percentile)
Height: 40inches tall (93rd percentile)

I worried about him being in the 99th percentile but after looking at my child, he is not overweight. If you see him in just his underwear you would think this kid has a great physique. He has such a cute little "bod." lol Very muscular. I attribute this to him running none stop from the time he wakes up till the time we can get him still enough to fall asleep.

Dr. Dentler also asked us if Peyton was going to day care or preschool. He told me something surprising... he said that old studies showed that kids who went to daycare, etc were far more advanced when they started school. But the most recent studies show that kids that stay at home with parents or grandparents are more advanced and better well behaved than kids that go to preschool/daycare. Made me feel really good since Peyton wont be going back to "school" this Fall. It was nice for him to have the socialization with other kids but just not logical for me to pack up all the kids (who most likely will not be awake yet) just so he can go play for 3-4 hours in the morning.

On the way home from Victoria after his appointment. This is his new and very silly smile. Ugh!

3rd Birthday Fun!

There was cake...
And presents...
And one very HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY!

This was his first time to ride a big boy bike. We were fully prepared for him to decide it was too big and revert back to his little bike. But no, he did AWESOME and rode like he had been doing it forever! What a kid!

"School" Birthday Party

Today Peyton and Braylen had their 3rd Birthday Party at Mrs. Samantha's. My good friend Shewanna (Braylens Mom) and I were both in the hospital having babies at the same time. Braylen was born on the 20th, Peyton on the 21st. They have been buddies ever since.

They both love sports. Future Edna Cowboys!

Make a wish!

Mrs. Samantha gave them drums! What in the heck was she thinking? lol

Four Month Dr. Appointment & Update

Well...we just got home from the boys FOUR month appointment. As we pulled in the driveway, all hell broke loose. We were about 30 min to an hour over our feeding time. All were satisfied with a bottle and I suspect with the busy morning and full tummies that they will take a good nap. (Lets keep our fingers crossed!)

It's been at least a month, if not more since I filled you in on stats, etc. So here we go...

COOPER WEST
Drum roll please, Cooper has overcome being the "runt!!" He has actually passed up the other two.
Today his weight was 13lbs, 14oz and is 23 inches long. Rachel, the PA, said he looks great and is doing everything he should for a four month old that was two months premature. Of course they are smaller than the average four month old but are average, if not bigger than a child who was that premature. He is a great eater and generally a good baby. He is so smiley and sweet! He loves to be talked to and played with.

GREYSON REID
Today, Greyson weighed 13lbs, 12oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. He is pretty much on the same page as Cooper in development, eating, etc. Both Cooper and Greyson need a little extra tummy time to strengthen their necks but they are right along where they should be. (I just attribute it to those big heads. It's hard to hold up that much brain! ha ha) Greyson is my cutie pie! He is the easiest to make smile and coo. He is still the whinny one...especially when hes worked up a good cry, he squeals, a loud whinny squeal.

BODE FRANK
Bode is the smallest (in weight) now...weird huh? He weighed 13lbs, 8oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. Mom and I think he will follow in his "namesakes" shoes though...literally. We measured his feet up against the other two boys and his are a whole big toe length longer and he's the longest. Bode is kind of giving us fits right now...he is BORED! He does not want to lay on the floor under his toys, swing or recline back in anything. He want to sit straight up or stand in your lap. He are about to get him a jumperoo or an excersaucer to "stand" in. And if you have ever heard him cry, you want to do anything to please him! He has the loudest, raspy, screechy cry EVER...ugh it's terrible! But on the other hand, he has the most adorable dimpled smile (like Peyton) but makes your work at it harder than the other two. He's such a toot!

The Doctor said we could try rice cereal if we wanted to or hold off for a while. They are getting about 30oz each of formula daily and don't really need the cereal unless they act like they are still hungry. Guess we will hold off until then. They had their four month shots today which I think is worse on Mom and Dad than baby. Jason says he's not going next time; what a chicken! I have to admit, it is pretty hard to watch, it's like a assembly line of torture. She has this handful of 9+shots and they just go down the line! Ugh! At least we have AWESOME nurses and Doctors who I adore...it makes it much easier when you know your children are in good hands. All in all, the boys are doing great! They are helping Mom, Dad and Gran out by sleeping thru the night too. We try to put them down somewhere around midnight and they usually don't start waking up around 7-ish. Normally I give them a "bink" while I make bottles and most of the time they all fall back to sleep. Sometimes I don't have to start feeding till 8-9am. Yay!

Sorry this is so long winded but there was a lot to tell. Enjoy the pics! Your next installment will be about our Precious Peyton Ross who will turn THREE on the 21st
